Costa Rica’s Borders are Opening to the United States, Canada, & more!

September 2, 2020

We think we can all admit that it’s been a…weird…year. A year full of uncertainty. A year full of adapting to a “new normal”. A year full of missing school graduations, weddings, family gatherings, and vacations.

It’s no surprise that a lot of us are chomping at the bit to get back out there and explore.

Lucky for you, Costa Rica’s borders are slowly, but surely, opening up to our foreign guests. And we could not be more excited to get you back to your home away from home, Tulemar!

We understand that the thought of international travel is a bit daunting right now. Which is why we are very happy to know that Costa Rica has put a few travel requirements in place to ensure that all our foreign guests are safe and healthy:

  • Travelers must present proof of a negative PCR coronavirus test. The result must have been received within the 72 hours before their travel to Costa Rica.
  • Travelers must acquire travel insurance that covers medical care or an unexpected extended hotel stay.
  • Travelers must follow all airport and local health protocols.

Please note that these requirements are always changing! Please check our Covid-19 statement to ensure you are up to date on the current requirements.

While you can feel safe enterting the country, you also can feel safe at Tulemar knowing that we have extra sanitation measures in place and are following all the protocols and procedures recommended by the Ministry of Health. In addition, with private airport transportation, over 33-acres of jungle to spread out, a secluded beach, and private villas, you can rest easy knowing that you can easily maintain social distance in Tulemar.
