Monkitail Retreat

Monkitail Retreat is the lower level of a two story property (with Villa Monkitail above) and is a wonderful option for a couple.  The twin size day bed can also accommodate another adult or a child.  Each of these two properties has a private entrance and can be rented separately or together.  When rented together, up to 8 guests can be accommodated.

These are situated on the hillside, just a short walk to the beach.  Given the location on our property, there are stairs and ramps to climb.

Monkitail Retreat was completely renovated with a clean, fresh, modern feel, and beautiful ocean views!

Features include a new kitchen, complete with refrigerator, convection oven/microwave, ice maker, two burner stovetop, coffee maker, blender, and a dining table. The day bed offers additional seating. The bedroom has one king bed and a large screen television. There is air conditioning throughout and the new bathroom has a large walk in with dual showers and a double sink with plenty of counter space.

Guests enjoy ocean, jungle, and garden views from the large wrap around terrace that beckons guests to enjoy the ocean breezes. The outdoor bathtub on the terrace is a nice feature. The octagonal design of the villa was created so that you have a special view from every window in all directions, and all the windows open completely to allow the outside to virtually come inside. The villa is immersed in the jungle with lots of wildlife visits. It’s almost like living in a tree house!

Your on-site concierge will be on hand to help maximize your enjoyment of the Tulemar resort. Guests have access to all the resort’s amenities including the beach, four pools, and on-site restaurant and are walking distance to many local restaurants, grocery stores, shops, and ATMs in Manuel Antonio.
