We had an idyllic time staying in the Villa Mot Mot Hideaway for two weeks. It's got a bedroom and bathroom indoors and the rest (kitchen, sitting, dining) is outside on the large terrace with a lovely sea and jungle view. It's very secluded. My partner said she felt like Robinson Crusoe. We were visited by a constant stream of wildlife. The pools are great. The beach is wonderful. The staff are friendly and efficient. It's not cheap, but boy it's good!

I loved Tulemar from the moment I arrived. There is such a relaxed feel to the place, the staff and drivers were all very nice and easygoing, and I love the fact that the accommodations are blended into the forest, so you feel like you're in the heart of nature. The Mot Mot Hideaway was wonderful with a gorgeous view and loads of outside space, it was a delight having breakfast outside and enjoying the sea views. There were lots of thoughtful touches inside, such as binoculars, DVDs to watch and books.

My husband and I recently had the opportunity to stay at Tulemar in the Motmot Hideaway. This was our Honeymoon vacation, and we couldn't be happier with our time spent at Tulemar. We were lucky enough to be able to spend 11 days with the awesome folks that work for Tulemar, and we enjoyed every minute. We can't say enough about our concierge! He called every day to check in on us, helped us make reservations for adventures, helped us make dinner and taxi cab reservations, and even came down to point out a Sloth mother and her baby right outside our room. Motmot Hideaway is a quaint little room, perfect for 2 people. We loved waking up every morning, making coffee, sitting on the porch and watching the monkeys move through. The wildlife that can be seen and experienced right from the porch was mind blowing. We had monkeys every day, sloths, scarlet macaws, raccoon, lizards and bats. All the wait staff and bar tenders were so fun to talk to and were also very helpful.

Our first trip to Costa Rica and we picked the perfect spot. Yes, it's not the cheapest place to stay BUT, the location is perfect with walking distance to local restaurants, groceries, and an ATM (when it works)! We stayed at the lower level of Mot Mot Hideaway with a stunning view of the ocean, sitting on the hill. We had a wonderful time. Daily maid service by very friendly ladies, attention from Jorge, the concierge, when we needed help setting up tours, addressing room issues, and transportation support when needed. Our room was perfect for the two of us. Bathroom and very comfortable king bed and outside cooking area with large couch and hammock. We spent basically all our down time on the deck looking at the ocean, spotting a few whales, squirrel monkeys, white faced monkeys and howler monkeys. We had a sloth in the tree right next to our deck for a couple of days, lots of beautiful butterflies, a nightly visit from a raccoon (a chair against the garbage can fixed that)and other wild life right in front of us!
