Housekeeping at Tulemar

As the times have changed, so have travelers’ expectations. What once used to be as easy as flipping the door hanger from “do not disturb” to “housekeeping please” to get your room made up, now isn’t so easy. Oftentimes, housekeeping is only done upon request, and even then it may be a quick clean and trash empty.

At Tulemar, we take great pride in our housekeeping staff and what they contribute to our guest experience, and we are proud to say that none of that has changed or will change (with the exception of a little extra sanitation precautions here and there, of course!).

What you can expect

Our private villas all come with their own staff. They can work directly with your concierge to make sure they swiftly get in and out of the villa (oftentimes while you’re at the beach or on an excursion) without bothering any of your relaxation or privacy. But, if you’re the type who likes to make friends, don’t be scared to say “hola”! They absolutely love seeing our guests’ smiling faces and you’ll love getting to know them, too.

The staff will keep your villa sparkling clean, and they even will do your laundry and bring fresh flowers into your villa! Their impeccable service in conjunction with your doting concierge will have you feeling like royalty during your stay.

All our other accommodations come with a team of rotating housekeepers. You may not have  the same housekeeper each day, but you are always guaranteed a spotless clean!

“Absolutely amazing. 8 of us stayed in villa kiskadee. The house and view are both stunning.
Our concierge Javiar is the best. He took care of everything from organizing our excursions to giving us a ride from the beach. He was always available via what’s app if we needed anything or had any questions. Javiar really went out of his way to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed.

Maria and Jon our housekeepers are so awesome. They work so hard to make sure the house is spotless everyday. The fruit displays and fresh juice they made daily were beautiful and delicious. Both Jon and Maria were quick to help us with anything we needed.

Jose is an incredible chef. He cooked in our house three of the nights. Everything he and his wife made was spot on. We wished we had booked him for our entire stay.

Henry the grounds keeper kept everything outside looking great and quickly fixed the heater in our hot tub when it broke.

I can’t say enough about how awesome all the staff is. From the drivers to waiters to beach attendants everyone was amazing.

The amount of wildlife In Tulemar is incredible. Monkeys, sloths, macaws, & toucans could all be seen on or near our balcony.

Chris took amazing care of us and was always sure to check in and make sure we had everything we needed. He went above and beyond and always did so with a great energy that made us feel very welcome and at home.

“This was one of the best trips I have taken and I have traveled! The accommodations, staff, wildlife, sunsets, excursions; everything was top-notch. The house was stunning. Every detail was taken care of and the décor is perfect, both beautiful and comfortable. The view is amazing. Our concierge, Luis, was so attentive, funny and on his game. He helped us enormously with questions, excursions, reservations, and well, everything. Many thanks as we changed our minds often:) Our beach trips were so easy with the always smiling David to greet us, set us up with chairs, towels, umbrellas and drinks. He is so kind. He went out of his way to send me sloth pictures when he heard how interested I was and how hard I found it to capture their pictures. And speaking of sloths, I highly recommend the sloth walk by the Sloth Institute. I learned so much, especially how to spot them. They are doing great work to research and protect sloths. We had wonderful yoga classes with Ashlee. I had more than one wonderful massage with Kalendy. Bliss. Memo shuttled us around like a pro and made us laugh every day. The housekeeping team, though they cleaned the whole house every day, were somehow magically barely seen or heard and yet the house was immaculate at all times. I don’t know how they managed that, even when we were there at the same time. And again, so kind and sweet. The overall genuine curiosity and friendliness of the staff was exceptional. Plus toucans, macaws, monkeys, geckos, iguanas, whales, Agouti, sloths, the biggest grasshopper EVER, the flowers, all of it was such a treat (well maybe not the grasshopper). I will definitely go back and highly recommend.”
