From Hollywood celebrities to families & friends – or sometimes just a couple looking for privacy and luxury – Casa de Frutas is the perfect villa for whatever vacation you have in mind.

Designed by the original owner and a local architect, this villa boasts a Bali modern design and is filled with furniture and artifacts from Indonesia. Casa de Frutas totals over 4,000 square feet of tropical open-air living with 3 private air conditioned suites and 3½ baths. The owners likes to keep the villa fresh and new and make changes each year, including the upgraded kitchen with Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, all new bathrooms and showers, new granite and tile, new furnishings, and a Big Ass Fan for the living room area.

Casa de Frutas is perched on a hillside overlooking the ocean and is bordered by jungle filled with monkeys, sloths, and exotic birds. The panoramic ocean views are spectacular and are perfect for relaxing and watching the stunning Costa Rican sunsets.

Some of the many amenities include a large open air kitchen and dining area, an infinity plunge pool (the only heated pool in Tulemar), an outdoor shower, a Balinese pavilion with a comfy daybed, and a BBQ lounge perfect for enjoying a cold drink while watching the sun set over the ocean and grilling your favorite item!

This villa is so unique and spectacular that a 12-page photo spread of Casa de Frutas was featured in an edition of the architectural magazine “Su Casa”. If that isn’t enough, your own personal concierge will happily help you with all your needs so you can sit back and relax in style!

Casa de Frutas guests will have access to all the resort amenities including the beach, four pools, and on-site shuttle service. Guests also are walking distance from many restaurants, grocery stores, shops, and ATMs in Manuel Antonio.

Chris Madrigal Concierge

Chris Madrigal was born in the US of Costa Rican parents. His youth was divided between Costa Rica and Chicago where he learned first-class hospitality and guest services as well as his celebrated culinary skills.

Chris can assist with your trip plans, from transportation options to Manuel Antonio, to knowing the best activities and tour guides in the area. Curious about whitewater rafting or the ziplines? Just ask Chris. He can also arrange for everything from a private chef, to surf lessons and many different options for sports fishing.

Chris will arrange the popular activities in advance to make sure you get the ones you want, when you want them.

Casa de Frutas was proud to serve as the private retreat for Ms. Harden during the filming of her project, After Words. During her stay, Mauricio spoiled her with private chef and spa services.

Actors, producers, and spouses Mark Duplass and Katie Aselton  escaped to Casa de Frutas for a week with their two daughters for equal parts relaxation and adventure. Mark and Katie have many film and TV roles and productions to their credit but Mark is probably best known for The Morning Show (Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series), The League, The Freebie, Creep and Wild Wild Country (Emmy WINNER for Outstanding Documentary – Executive Producer).

"Hands down the best family vacation we’ve ever taken. The entire staff was so warm and welcoming, they made us feel like family the moment we arrived. We could have spent another week just enjoying the home’s private pool, the daily fresh fruit, the wildlife all around, the resort's private beach area, etc… It was the perfect combination of luxury relaxation and outdoor nature adventures. The house itself is also laid out perfectly… upstairs is the open living area, chef’s kitchen (which the monkeys also enjoy visiting), and the master suite with the indoor/outdoor shower.
