The Sloth Institute of Costa Rica is a non-profit organization located inside Tulemar. Their mission is to enhance the well-being and conservation of wild and captive sloths through research, education, and rehabilitation.

Sloths are native to Costa Rica, but unfortunately habitat destruction is a major threat to sloths’ environment. Tulemar and The Sloth Institute of Costa Rica have been working together to create an excellent example of how responsible and environmentally respectful development can ensure these creatures – and all the other magnificent wildlife – continue to exist and thrive.

When you symbolically adopt a sloth, you help orphaned and injured sloths return back to the rainforest where they belong.
