We just left this beautiful resort 8 days ago after a three night stay in a Buena Vista Villa. We can't stop bragging about the staff, view, beautiful room and resort. Your staff gets a A+. We already miss you, Mari and Chris. We ate most of our meals at the hotel either on the beach or your restaurant. It was wonderful. When we did force ourselves to get out from the resort, we were close to everything. We went to Kapi Kapi and Cafe Milagros, which are both just a hop and skip down the street. The national park was only a five minute drive down the street as well. Thank you so much for your wonderful service in paradise. I hope to visit again.

We researched options extensively in Costa Rica landing with Tulemar and the Buena Vista villas! Reviews are so accurate. The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. Ashley our concierge was fantastic. Views are OUT of this world. We saw more animals on property than we could have dreamed, 3 types of monkeys and a sloth at the pool. TIPS: walk the property early am for sightings, hike BOTH trails near beach so worth it, places with jacuzzis are great, unit 409 is 5 star, food at restaurant was better than we expected based on reviews, go to Cafe Milagros for breakfast, use all amenities at beach, kayak way out and around coast for amazing views, Fourtrax ATV tour SO worth it, having a rental car makes everything really easy.

What a wonderful week we had at Tulemar. Our spacious 3-bedroom villa was clean, convenient, and tastefully decorated with stunning views of the jungle and ocean. There was plenty of room for all eight of us (4 adults and 4 kids). Loved having morning coffee on our balcony, and really enjoyed the huge gorgeous showers. The kitchen was well equipped. Thanks to our concierge, Bryan, for helping us with reservations and logistics, Christopher for an amazing dinner, Daniela for the best mojitos ever, and David for his excellent service at the beach and his attentiveness to the our kids. Staff everywhere are friendly and take the time to point out wildlife - we saw sloth and monkeys daily. The beach is a bit of a hike but we enjoyed the walk and saw some great wildlife along the way. A shuttle is available for those who can't tolerate hilly terrain. Overall, an amazing experience that I would recommend without reservation.

We just got back from the best vacation ever. Our trip to Costa Rica and our stay at the Buena Vista Villa was fantastic! We stayed in 407 which was perfect for us...two families and me (Gramma). Our trip was arranged online with Julien. He also booked our zip line, waterfall safari and white water rafting. All of these activities are on their website and they were all awesome. After each trip the kids would come back raving about the guides! Our concierge while we were there was Ashley, who also made sure we were taken care of. Everyone was very friendly! We ate out once or walked to the market but the best food was right in Tulemar! With 3 teenagers and a ten year old they were never bored! Even stayed off their phones and iPods!
Initially we were a little worried about traveling in June but the weather was great..never very hot. Each morning it was clear or slightly overcast and in the late afternoon it rained but we had fun swimming in rain. We thought there was going to be a problem with bugs but there were none. It was not crowded as I think it is during our winter months.
To our delight there was a resident sloth just below us! Also large iguanas in the trees. By the pool were lots of monkeys.
I would highly recommend Tulemar and hope to get the chance to return!
