From the flat, arid plains of the Guanacaste region to the remote jungles of the Osa Peninsula,  each is special, but Manuel Antonio/Quepos is unique among them all.

Every country has one or two of those “quirky little towns” and Manuel Antonio is “it” in Costa Rica.  This town is very small, but is filled with an eclectic mix of Costa Ricans and expats from Europe, North and South America.

We have a large artist community and a lively music scene.  Add to that visiting sports fishermen (Quepos is world renown), surfers, backpackers, and international tourists and you’ve got a very social and diverse community.  After just a few days of staying in our Manuel Antonio rentals, you’ll start recognizing the locals and others you’ve met at the beach or on a tour.

Manuel Antonio itself, is spread along the ridge top road from Quepos to the Manuel Antonio National Park (the most visited park in Costa Rica) and is surrounded by dense jungle filled with exotic wildlife (monkeys, sloths, toucans, scarlet macaws) and quaint little open air restaurants, bars, and small boutique hotels. Some of the most expensive real estate and villas in Costa Rica are located in this area.

Tulemar Dave is a mainstay in the community.  In fact, he has been instrumental in building Tulemar into what it is today.  A very special, unique resort that has our guests frequently booking their next stay before they even leave.  Then our guests and our team eagerly await their return.  Dave is heavily involved in Tulemar, frequently interacting with guests, and helps maintain Tulemar as the premier travel destination within Manuel Antonio and in the country.

A little more about Dave… He lives in Tulemar and owns a very successful property management and concierge services business.  In addition, Dave provides real estate services in Tulemar.  Dave built and owned this Tulemar vacation reservation business with his business partner, Mauricio Jara, a Costa Rican.

And now, a bit about us.  Jules and Glen along with our four business partners now own this Tulemar reservations company.  On this website you can find all the beautiful properties that we are fortunate to rent on behalf of the homeowners.  Glen and I fell in love with Costa Rica when we came here in 2010 for our wedding.  In fact, our first destination was Tulemar, where we rented one of the private villas and were married.  In 2013 we returned to Costa Rica and purchased a vacation rental home in Uvita.  We found that we really enjoyed interacting with our guests and making their stays special and memorable.  Fast forward to 2017 when we purchased property in Tulemar and built a home here.  Like all Tulemar homeowners, we are happy to share our home with our guests and love hearing about their experiences (and seeing photos!) from their stays.  Having the opportunity to meet Tulemar guests and learn about them is so fun and rewarding for us.  

Glen and I relocated to Costa Rica and now live and work here.  Our business partners were born here and live in Costa Rica.  Alberto, Jorge, and Juvenal are prominent attorneys and Raul brings guest services and management experience to our team.  Our reservation agents are referred to as vacation specialists because they really do know each of our vacation rental properties intimately and are able to help our guests select the best option for their vacations.

Most of our luxury Costa Rica villas are located within Tulemar, the only gated and secure, 33 acre jungle resort community in Manuel Antonio with private residences and our own beach. Our guests can enjoy food and beverage service delivered to their villa or at the pool and/or Tulemar beach.  

We’re located right in the heart of Manuel Antonio, within walking distance to many fun restaurants and bars. There are other beautiful beach resorts in Manuel Antonio, but a location in Tulemar is where you’ll want to be.

We’re able to make reservations for all of the privately owned properties in Tulemar that are listed on this website, from the small, tropical, Tulemar bungalows to the luxurious private villas. The homeowners are our friends and neighbors. We know them and their properties very well.
